Ian Ulery

I'm a full-stack software engineer and IT manager, located in the greater Indianapolis area. I graduated from UCLA and have worked for places like NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, AT&T Interactive, and UCLA. I'm passionate about creating well-crafted software, solving complex problems, and working collaboratively to deliver great outcomes.

I designed and implemented version 2 of the NASA Space Images apps for iPhone and iPad, making it easy for people to explore incredible photos of space. They've been downloaded millions of times, featured as an Apple Staff Favorite, and reached #1 in the App Store's free education category.


I implemented the website for EvansHardy+Young, a leading full-service advertising agency based in California.


I designed and implemented have2p, a lighthearted iPhone app released by AT&T Interactive. It was picked as a New York Times App of the Week and featured on several well-known tech blogs.

I helped launch Unroll as the technical co-founder, implementing the technology that powered a social video sharing startup.

I implemented the ad campaign website for Peruvian avocados, a fun project for a millennial who likes avocado toast.

I've provided training on responsible AI use, and rolled out AI services to enhance employee productivity.

I've administered cybersecurity awareness training to employees, improving their understanding of the latest cybersecurity threats.

Managing networks and servers

I've managed enterprise data and networks successfully for more than 17 years, deploying and administering VMware ESXi, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux servers.
